The Rosenheim Integrated Control Center (ILS) is the operations center for non-police emergency response and can be reached via the Europe-wide emergency number 112.
It coordinates and directs the operations of the fire department, the disaster control, the rescue service (mobile land rescue service, emergency medical service, air rescue service and first responders, mountain rescue, water rescue, rapid response groups), the technical relief organization and the other emergency services of the relief organizations.
The operator of the ILS Rosenheim is the city of Rosenheim, and the responsible body is the Zweckverband für Rettungsdienst und Feuerwehralarmierung (Association for Rescue Services and Fire Department Alarming), which is based in the Rosenheim District Office.
The ILS is located on the premises of the main fire station and has been in operation since March 30, 2010. The official inauguration took place on 21.05.2010 by Bavaria's Minister of the Interior, Joachim Herrmann. Since the commissioning of the ILS, all emergency calls for rescue services and fire departments have been received at the Rosenheim ILS, the necessary resources have been alerted and all operations have been supported.
The ILS Rosenheim is responsible for the districts of Rosenheim and Miesbach and the city of Rosenheim. The catchment area has the size of 2336 square kilometers and is almost as large as the Saarland. With approx. 425,000 inhabitants, it belongs to the group of medium-sized control center areas in Bavaria. Annually approx. 85,000 employments are alarmed by the ILS.
Special features of the control center area are the A8 and A93 federal highways, the B15 and B307 federal highways, the Kampenwand, Sudelfeld, Wendelstein, Rotwand and Spitzingsee ski resorts, the large lakes Chiemsee, Tegernsee, Spitzingsee and Schliersee, as well as the Inn and Mangfall rivers.
