Founder Award Rosenheim 2026: Honouring the most innovative business ideas in the city and district
Digital care control, red wine enjoyment without tooth discolouration and an organic aperitif: these are the most innovative products from the city and district of Rosenheim that have now (24/02/2026) been awarded the City and District of Rosenheim Founder's Prize. A jury selected the winners from a field of 50 teams after an intensive evaluation process.
"The many good applications for the Founder Award show that we have a flourishing start-up scene in the city and district of Rosenheim. And we are creating the conditions - including through our joint digital start-up centre Stellwerk18 - for the creative minds in the region to be successful. The message is clear: anyone setting up a business in the Rosenheim region should receive the best framework conditions and the right support," says District Administrator Otto Lederer.
"Founders and entrepreneurs will find the right breeding ground to realise their ideas in the city and district of Rosenheim. An excellent infrastructure, both in terms of transport and digitally, a lot of innovative strength and good networking, as can also be seen here today at the award ceremony for the start-up prize. And that is the real benefit for our three award winners today: top coaching from the city and district business development organisations and our partners as well as the expansion of the business network," added Mayor Andreas März.
Of the 50 applications, 20 teams took part in the evaluation process, including an extensive series of workshops. The jury made its selection based on outstanding entrepreneurial achievements and creative start-up ideas.
1st place: Dustin Maurer - MedOS
First prize went to Dustin Maurer with MedOS. MedOS is developing a digital co-pilot for care management that translates data into specific recommendations for clinics. The business idea with a strong digital approach and high scalability particularly impressed the jury with its future viability, innovative strength, economic potential and regional relevance.
2nd place: Sophia Clemente - CARE FOR TASTE
Second place was awarded to Sophia Clemente for CARE FOR TASTE, an innovative protective gel that protects teeth from acidity and discolouration when drinking wine - without affecting the taste. The business idea particularly impressed the jury with its innovative strength and commercial potential.
3rd place: Johannes Schubert - Sankt Sprizz
The third prize honours Johannes Schubert's beverage idea. Sankt Sprizz is an organic aperitif in three alcohol levels (5%, 1%, 0%) that allows everyone to clink glasses together. The product particularly impressed with its social impact and sustainable approach.
