Here's to a beautiful and peaceful Wiesn!

After exactly 1,047 days of break, the Rosenheim Autumn Festival begins next Saturday (27.08.2022). To ensure that the 161st Wiesn runs smoothly, the city of Rosenheim has worked out a comprehensive concept together with the police and the economic association.

A key point is the implementation of a major event despite coronalage. The city administration continues to monitor developments very closely and is in close contact with the RoMed clinics, the Health Department and the Economic Association in order to intervene in case of doubt. The city appeals to the personal responsibility of visitors not to attend the Herbstfest with symptoms of illness. A quick test before the Wiesn stay is also advisable.

The Bavarian Red Cross will again be at the Herbstfest entrance at the Loretokapelle to offer medical assistance. This location will relieve the emergency room of the RoMed Hospital.

In order to ensure mobile phone coverage, an additional mobile phone mast has again been erected. This not only serves to increase capacity, but is also intended to prevent network overloads. This ensures that emergency calls can be made in the event of an emergency.

The City Patrol teams ensure safety after the Oktoberfest closes on the days with the highest number of visitors, from Thursday to Saturday. The security forces, financed by the city, the two Rosenheim breweries and numerous local and snack bar operators, patrol the inner city area in teams of two or three. Aggressive behavior, vandalism and disturbances of the peace can thus be prevented or contained at an early stage.

As at every autumn festival, the city's traffic control department will monitor illegal and obstructive parking around the Loretowiese and extend its operating hours into the evening. The focus will be on violations in handicapped parking spaces and fire department access zones.

The federal and state police as well as the city's youth welfare office are also taking additional security measures during the Autumn Festival: Regular checks will be carried out from the train station to the festival grounds as well as in the immediate vicinity of the Loretowiese.

Once again, the "Wildbiesler" are in focus. For this reason, the city will again set up three WC containers in the vicinity of the Herbstfest grounds in Herbststraße / corner of Klosterweg, in Ebersberger Straße / entrance to Loretokapelle and in Kaiserstraße / height of police station. The containers are already open from the early afternoon and are occupied until 24.00 o'clock with a firm cleaner. Anyone who nevertheless relieves themselves in the open air will be fined 100 euros plus a 25-euro administrative fee.

The police Wiesnwache in the Glückshafen building and the fire safety watch of the Rosenheim Volunteer Fire Department next to the Auer-Bräu beer garden serve the further safety of visitors. The entire event area as well as parts of the city center are under video surveillance. As an additional protective measure, concrete barriers have again been erected at the main entrances this year. Bag checks will also be carried out.

During the entire event period, regular security meetings will be held between the city, organizers, breweries, security services, police and aid organizations in order to always have an up-to-date picture of the security situation and to be able to react quickly.

Following the expansion of Ebersberger Straße, the non-linear bus parking spaces there have been eliminated. As in 2019, parking spaces will therefore be made available in Prinzregentenstraße at the level of Ignaz Günther High School and in Rechenauerstraße.

Should there be any inconvenience for residents despite all the aforementioned precautions, the Public Order Office has set up a telephone number for all official matters relating to the Autumn Festival at 08031/365-1350. The hotline can be reached from Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

In addition, during the Wiesn, a contact person from the Economic Association is available daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for such problems or event-related concerns at the telephone number 08031/9006161.

The city of Rosenheim wishes all visitors a beautiful and peaceful autumn festival.
