The city of Rosenheim has opened two new beach volleyball courts at Happinger Ausee. The facilities, which are also suitable for tournaments, are open to the public and can be used by anyone.

"Demand is high and I am delighted that we have been able to expand our sports facilities in Rosenheim quickly and easily. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent cooperation with the city council across all political groups, which helped to initiate and support the project," said Lord Mayor Andreas März. "Just two and a half months passed from the initial discussion in the main committee at the end of May to completion in mid-August. The city administration made the project possible quickly and efficiently, so that the beach volleyball courts were already available during the summer holidays."

The courts are located in the immediate vicinity of Happinger Aussee. The excavation for the volleyball courts was also used to create a hilly landscape for sunbathing.
