The city has managed a special treat for all Rosenheim opera fans: The Bavarian State Opera will open its new 2022/2023 season on Friday, September 16, 2022 as part of "Opera for All" with a free open-air concert in Rosenheim's Mangfallpark Süd. The concert in Rosenheim will mark the start of the ten-day Munich September Festival, which will herald the new season.

With the concept of "Opera for All" and the open-air concert in Rosenheim, artistic director Serge Dorny wants to make the highest artistic quality accessible to a wider public and make it possible to experience it. The idea behind it: to open up the city and the region and to celebrate the start of the new season of the Bavarian State Opera together with everyone. Daniele Rustioni, Principal Guest Conductor of the Bavarian State Opera, will be in charge of the musical direction; the soloist will be Sonya Yoncheva.

Attendance at the concert is free of charge. However, since a maximum attendance limit has been set, an admission ticket must be shown. These will be available online, by telephone and in person at the Bavarian State Theater in Munich and at the Culture and Congress Center in Rosenheim from 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 09, 2022.

The event takes place in cooperation with the city of Rosenheim and the Landesgartenschau Rosenheim 2010 GmbH.
