As an administrative assistant in the municipal service...

  • you work in offices and departments of the city administration. You are a competent contact person for all citizens, companies and organizations.
  • you make administrative decisions, mostly in written form. To do this, you must be familiar with laws and regulations in various areas of law.
  • you carry out administrative tasks in a service- and customer-oriented manner and according to economic aspects.
  • You prepare meetings of municipal decision-making bodies and are involved in the implementation of decisions.
  • you organize work processes in your area of responsibility and process transactions using modern information and communication systems.

Training information

  • The training lasts 3 years. It is divided into theoretical and practical sections. For the theoretical training, you will attend the State Vocational School II in Traunstein (block instruction) and specialized courses at the Bavarian School of Administration. During your practical training, you will get to know up to ten offices and departments of the city of Rosenheim. This will give you a good impression of your future professional life.     • By the time you are hired, you will have a qualifying secondary school diploma or the Mittlere Reife (intermediate school leaving certificate) or an equivalent (business school diploma) or higher school education (high school diploma).
    • You have an open-minded, flexible and courteous manner, which is especially important when dealing with citizens seeking help.
    • You want to make a personal contribution to a citizen-oriented and friendly administration.
    • You bring perseverance, diligence and energy to contribute effectively to our city administration and to apply legal regulations conscientiously and systematically.
    • You have a good knowledge of German and mathematics or accounting.
  • After successfully completing your training, you will be assigned to one of the offices within the city of Rosenheim. Of course, we would like to take your personal preferences into account. From just one year after completing your training, you will also have the opportunity to complete further training to become an administrative specialist (BL II).

  • The basis for the amount of the training allowance is the collective agreement for trainees in the public service (TVAöD) -special part BBiG- in the currently valid version. According to this, the following are paid during training (gross): 1st year of training: approx. € 1,040 2nd year of training: approx. € 1,090 3rd year of training: approx. € 1,140
