A German-French friendship

Since 2018, the Städtische Realschule for Girls has been conducting a very successful student exchange with the Ozenne Gymnasium in Toulouse in the south of France. After the stay in Toulouse in March of this year, where the girls had the opportunity, among other things, to visit the famous Unesco world cultural sites of Albi and Carcassonne, the return visit of the southern French students now took place in Rosenheim.

At an official reception in Rosenheim's town hall, Rosenheim's 3rd mayor Gabriele Leicht welcomed the young people and gave them a first insight into the city of Rosenheim and its surroundings.

Other items on the program included joint project work on a German-French cookbook with regional specialties, an excursion to Fraueninsel and Herreninsel with a visit to Herrenchiemsee Castle, a mountain hike with a hearty stop at a mountain hut and, of course, a visit to the Bavarian capital of Munich with the German Museum and a tour of the city.

The close exchange between the families of the participating students was a particularly pleasant experience, both during the joint welcome evening at the school and during a joint visit to an inn. In this way, many a Franco-German friendship was permanently sealed.
