First of five citizens' assemblies

What has happened since Mayor Andreas März took office? How should Rosenheim orientate itself for the future and where is there a need for action? In a direct dialogue, the Lord Mayor and the city administration will be available to answer citizens' questions at a total of five public meetings in October.

"We want to discuss the concerns of our citizens with open ears. That's why we have once again chosen our pubs as meeting venues. In keeping with Bavarian tradition, it's easier to talk directly at the pub: straightforward and at eye level, so that suggestions and requests can reach me and my colleagues in our city administration unfiltered and be processed. Our citizens' meetings are a prime example of citizen-centred communication," says März.

In addition to the current situation in the city, neighbourhood-specific topics are also discussed.

The first citizens' assembly will take place on Wednesday, 1 October 2025 at 19:00 for the south-east area in the Happinger Hof. The concerns of the districts of Aisinger Landstraße, Happing, Hl. Blut, Kaltmühl, Kaltwies and Kastenau will be discussed here.

"Once again this year, it is particularly important for me to emphasise that young people aged 14 and over have the right to speak, submit motions and vote and that suggestions from young people are always welcome!" says the Lord Mayor.

The citizens' assembly for the south will take place on 7 October at the Kirchenwirt in Pang, on 9 October for the centre at Tante Paula in the Mailkeller, on 15 October for the north at Gasthof Höhensteiger and on 23 October for the centre-south-west area at Gasthof Alt-Fürstätt. Each meeting starts at 19:00.

Young people aged 14 and over also have the right to propose motions, speak and vote. Clubs, associations etc. do not have this highly personal right.
