Local elections 2026: These are the authorised election proposals in Rosenheim
The City Election Committee has examined the nominations submitted by the parties. A total of seven candidates were approved for the mayoral election and nine parties for the city council election.
At its meeting on 20 January 2026, the following candidates were approved for the election of the Lord Mayor on 8 March 2026: Andreas März (CSU), Christopher Ehrenböck (FREIE WÄHLER / UP), Maximilian Leucht (AfD), Anna Rutz (GRÜNE), Abuzar Erdogan (SPD), Marcus Moga (FDP) and Hannah Rohs (DIE LINKE).
The city election committee approved the following nominations for the city council elections: Christlich-Soziale Union in Bayern e.V. (Christian Social Union in Bavaria) (CSU), FREIE WÄHLER Bayern / Freie Wähler/Unabhängige Parteifreie Wählervereinigung (FREIE WÄHLER / UP), Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), BÜNDNIS 90 / DIE GRÜNEN (GRÜNE), Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands (SPD), Freie Demokratische Partei (FDP), Ökologisch-Demokratische Partei (ÖDP), Die Republikaner (REP) and DIE LINKE (DIE LINKE).
The election committee also decided that only the abbreviated names of the parties would be shown on the ballot paper for both the election of the Lord Mayor and the City Council election.
A total of 293 people are running for the 44 seats on Rosenheim City Council in the nine nominations.
