New kindergarten at the Sportbund campus

The new kindergarten on the Sportbund campus in Pürstlingstraße has now (23 October 2020) been officially opened. The "Sportkinderhaus Startklar" is located on the upper floor of the clubhouse and offers space for up to 50 children.

The special feature: the city of Rosenheim rents the premises and bears the costs for the conversion. The centre will be run by "Startklar-Soziale-Arbeit Rosenheim-Ebersberg", a new organisation in the Rosenheim area.

"Children need exercise and they get plenty of it at the Sportkinderhaus. Thanks to its location directly on the Sportbund campus, they can also use the existing sports facilities. They also have modern facilities and their own child-friendly outdoor play area," said Mayor Andreas März at the opening ceremony.

The upper floor of the clubhouse had already been used for lunchtime supervision since the 2022/23 school year. An after-school group had been based there since September 2024 before the kindergarten groups moved in at the start of the 2025 nursery year. The after-school children are now mainly looked after at schools.
