"Rosenheimer Miszellen" - new blog on the history of the city and district
The new academic blog "Rosenheimer Miszellen" from the Rosenheim City Archive and the Historical Society has gone online. The service, available at romis.stadtarchiv.de, is a digital series of publications on the history of the town and district of Rosenheim.
The first contribution to "Rosenheimer Miszellen" is by Dr. Christian Höschler, head of the city archive. He presents the car mechanic's diploma of the Polish Jew Itamar Nussenbaum, which is kept there and which made its way from Rosenheim to Israel after the war and decades later via detours back to Rosenheim.
Further local and regional historical research results will be published in the near future. This also includes submissions from the public, who are invited to participate. We particularly welcome contributions that point out gaps in research or highlight previously underrepresented topics in the history of the town and district of Rosenheim.
"I am looking forward to new ideas and exciting contributions that will expand and deepen our shared historical knowledge," says Dr. Höschler from the city archive. Karl-Heinz Brauner, First Chairman of the Rosenheim Historical Society, is also positive about the new joint project: "With this attractive and low-threshold offer, we will hopefully appeal to a large number of people who are interested in the history of their city of Rosenheim and the surrounding area."
The prerequisite for the publication of contributions is that they are thematically relevant and adhere to (historical) academic standards. Interested parties can contact those responsible for "Rosenheimer Miszellen" at stadtarchiv(at)rosenheim.de or info(at)historischervereinrosenheim.de.
Miscellanies are short academic texts which, for example, shed light on a single historical event or a specific historical source. Miscellanies are subject to the same academic standards as longer formats.
