City tourism is booming
Tourism is increasingly becoming a strong economic factor for the city of Rosenheim. In 2025, more guests came to Rosenheim and stayed overnight more often than in the previous year. In addition, more people visited the city centre than in 2024.
"With our new tourist information centre and ticket centre in particular, we have set out to further boost tourism in our city. With our cultural facilities, lively city centre and many leisure options, people love coming to us. And we will ensure that this remains the case in the future," says Lord Mayor Andreas März.
With a total of 237,000 guest arrivals in 2025, around 15 per cent more visitors came to Rosenheim than in 2024, while the number of overnight stays rose by almost 16 per cent to 365,000 in the same period.
"It is particularly pleasing that the number of guest arrivals is well distributed throughout the year. And our bed occupancy rate is above the Bavarian average," said the Lord Mayor happily.
Another indicator of Rosenheim's attractiveness is the measurement of footfall. For example, the measurement supported by Sparkasse Rosenheim-Bad Aibling recorded year-on-year increases in both Max-Josefs-Platz and Münchner Straße.
The city tours are also becoming increasingly popular. Almost 30,000 people took part in 1,400 city tours in 2025. In the past four years alone, interest has risen by 11.5 per cent.
