Run-off election for the post of Lord Mayor
Who will be the future mayor of the city of Rosenheim will be decided on 22 March 2026, with the incumbent Andreas März (CSU) and his challenger Abuzar Erdogan (SPD) going into the run-off.
In the first round of voting on 8 March, the provisional final result was 39.1% of the vote, with Erdogan receiving 26.6%. An absolute majority would have been required to decide the election in the first round.
Anna Rutz (Greens) received 14.4 %, Maximilian Leucht (AfD) 10.8 %, Christopher Ehrenböck (FW/UP) 5.0 %, Hannah Rohs (Die Linke) 3.2 % and Marcus Moga (FDP) 0.8 %.
Voter turnout for the mayoral election was 53.3%.
