Parts of the footpath and cycle path in Rathausstraße closed due to construction work

The footpath and cycle path in Rathausstraße in the area of property number 15 will be closed during the course of this week until probably the end of the year. The area in front of it with the parking bays is also affected by this measure. The reason for this is construction work on the building.

For reasons of space and safety, pedestrian traffic will be diverted via the traffic lights to the opposite side of the road and then via Brixstraße. A temporary traffic light pole will be installed at the corner of Bismarckstrasse and Rathausstrasse, which is outside the cordoned-off construction site area.

Cyclists travelling in the direction of the city centre between Königstraße and Bismarckstraße will be directed onto Rathausstraße. Yellow adhesive markings and bicycle pictograms will be applied to the carriageway for this purpose.

The permitted speed in this section will be limited to 30 km/h.
