In principle, the annual fishing license is only issued to persons who do not have a residence in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Please bring with you:
- Identity card/passport
- 1 passport photo (if newly issued)
- fishing license for renewal (if already issued)
- completed and signed application form
- Fishing license of the home country

Proof that you are authorized to fish in your home country must be provided. The actual validity of the annual fishing license is limited to a maximum of 3 months determined by the applicant. Within the annual period, no further annual fishing license may be applied for in Bavaria, not even in another municipality. The municipality in which fishing is to be practiced is responsible for issuing the license.
